The Truth About Supplements

There are many products out there that offer quick fixes and impossible results. I don't know about you, but we were tired of empty promises. So many women struggle with their menstrual health, and instead of receiving support, we're often told to live with it—with the discomfort, the uncertainty, and the pain! We deserve better. That's why we started Guud Woman and developed our own line of supplements.
For us it's personal
Have you met Morgane? She's the co-founder of Guud Woman, and you might have seen her on our Instagram and website. Guud Woman was born out of Morgane's own personal experience. A few years ago, Morgane was diagnosed with PCOS, and doctors couldn't help her. She was told to manage her symptoms, prescribed hormonal contraception, and that was it. No solution. No follow-up.
Fed up, she was determined to alleviate her symptoms herself. She retrained as a Nutrition and Fertility expert. During her training, she discovered that small lifestyle changes, along with the right supplements, had an incredibly positive effect on her cycle and fertility. It seemed so simple! Why weren't more doctors telling women about this?!
She knew she could help other women too. But the supplement industry can be confusing. Many products are full of chemical preservatives, artificial colors, and fillers. And many don't produce any results at all. How is the average woman supposed to know which supplements to trust? Morgane was determined to create something better—something women could trust, something that actually worked.
Guud Woman is born!
When Morgane told her husband and co-founder Jan that she wanted to develop her own line of supplements, he was skeptical. He didn't believe in the value of supplements and thought most products on the market were just hot air. But Morgane convinced him they could create something better—so they did!
After countless rounds of testing, Guud Woman was born! A line of supplements for and by women, featuring the best effective and natural ingredients scientifically proven to improve your menstrual cycle.

Which lasagna do you choose?
The supplement market is just like grocery shopping. Think of lasagna. You can buy a cheap frozen lasagna at the supermarket, which is full of processed ingredients. Or you can buy an original, homemade lasagna at an Italian restaurant. Both products say lasagna, but which one is better for you?
We interviewed 100 women. Of these women, 90% bought supplements, but almost none of them knew the brands they were buying or knew what they were for. More importantly, the products these women bought were highly artificial and made with low-quality vitamins and minerals. These were high-margin products designed primarily to sell a lot, and no one seemed to know if they actually worked!
There's no guesswork in what we do. When we developed Guud Woman, we challenged every ingredient. Our products are backed by health claims approved by European regulators . We collaborated with pharmacist Charis D. Milonas to help formulate our supplements. She holds a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Master's degree in Biomedical Sciences. And all our products are approved by the FASFC (Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain) and the FPS Public Health, Food Chain Safety and Environment. The result is a supplement you'll love.
But here's the thing...
If you want to improve your menstrual health and reduce or even eliminate your symptoms, there's one word you need to know: lifestyle.
An example. Imagine you're suffering from acne and cramps during your period. At the same time, you're working non-stop and incredibly stressed. You always grab fast food for lunch because you don't have time. To unwind in the evening, you have a glass (or two, or three...) of wine "because you worked so hard." Sound familiar?
It's time for some not-so-pleasant truth: to reduce your acne and cramps, you need to adjust your diet and reduce your stress. Otherwise, adding a supplement won't make any difference.
The 'language' of supplements – this is it
When buying supplements, it's important to understand the ingredients. Fortunately, you don't have to be a scientist. You just need to know the basics. Search for:
- Zinc bisglycinate – this type of zinc is gentle on the stomach and is better absorbed by your body.
- Magnesium citrate and/or bisglycinate – generally considered the best form of magnesium.
- Active folic acid – folic acid isn't just for pregnancy. Read more in this blog post, " Everything you need to know about folic acid ."
- Omega 3 – from algae (not from fish oil)
All the minerals and vitamins we use are of the highest quality and are therefore better absorbed by the body. The result? A better flow, glow, and vibe!
Still not convinced?
Maybe you've tried supplements before and nothing happened. Or maybe your problems are simply too big and a vitamin won't help. The fact is, 75% of women don't understand their menstrual cycle and 90% struggle with menstrual symptoms. The only way to reduce these alarming figures is to learn, understand, and take action.
