Finding and sticking to a good routine is difficult. You might lie in bed too long, your kids might be demanding your attention, or you might be in a rush. Yet, it's important to find your routine. Why? A good morning routine is crucial for starting the day full of energy. This is my routine! đȘ
đ§ââïž Step 1: yoga time!
My alarm goes off at 6:45. I like to stay in bed, but I always get up as soon as possible. I start my day with a 20-minute yoga session. This session really sets the tone for my day and determines how I feel for the rest of the day.
đ„ Step 2: A nutritious breakfast
Time for a delicious breakfast. For our family, a fresh breakfast with fruit is very important. Our favorite breakfast? A smoothie bowl! Here's the recipe:
Ingredients for 2 servings
- 2 frozen bananas. Tip: Freeze the bananas the night before, without peeling them.
- 1 apple or pear
- 50 ml coconut water or almond milk
- Πavocado
- 2 handfuls of spinach
- 1 handful of kale
- 1 tablespoon lemon or lime juice
- 80 grams of mango pieces (fresh or frozen)
- 1 date (optional)
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
How to make the smoothie bowl:
- Put the coconut water or almond milk in the blender.
- Now add all the soft ingredients.
- Then add the hard or frozen pieces. Make sure the smoothie isn't too runny.
- Serve the smoothie bowl with granola, cacao nibs, seeds, coconut flakes, and fruit pieces.
Try to vary your breakfasts as much as possible. Other delicious breakfasts you'll find here include: oatmeal with seeds (hemp seeds and/or chia seeds) with banana and almond butter, omelet with avocado and toast, Greek yogurt with seeds and nuts, and granola (I choose granola that doesn't contain much added sugar, but it's not always easy to find).
And the coffee?
I eat breakfast without coffee. I used to absolutely have no coffee, but I discovered it negatively impacts my cycle ( read why here ).
Now I prefer ginger tea, turmeric tea, or raw cacao with maca and almond milk. Just as delicious, healthier, and it gives me a real energy boost!

âš Step 3: Supporting supplements
I supplement my balanced lifestyle with supplements to support my overall health and cycle:
Morning supplements:
Every morning I take one capsule of Guud Flow , and depending on my cycle phase, I also take one capsule of Guud Glow for my skin. I used to suffer from stubborn pimples, but this supplement contains zinc and selenium, which help maintain my skin.
Note: Don't take Flow and Glow together, as they are both multivitamins and can be heavy on the stomach. I take Flow with breakfast and Glow after dinner to prevent nausea.
Evening supplements:
In the evening, I take two capsules of Guud Inside , which is packed with omega-3s, and two capsules of Guud Vibes , which contains easily absorbed magnesium and helps with fatigue. Studies have shown that magnesium helps produce sleep hormones.
