PMS symptoms can drive you crazy. You don't just experience physical discomfort—cramps, headaches, or bloating—but also mood swings. They're sudden, inexplicable, and sometimes impossible to cope with, let alone explain to others! But if you're aware of your cycle, you can be kinder to yourself. You can also forgive yourself if you suddenly find yourself inexplicably angry or irritable for no apparent reason!

Guud expert and midwife Uwe struggled with endometriosis and severe PMS. But because she understands her cycle, she can manage her symptoms. "I've noticed that no matter how heavily I'm PMSing, it's really helpful to know I'm in that phase," says Uwe, a mother of two and midwife. " My feelings are there, but I don't let them get to me too deeply ."
What Uwe says is very interesting for women who are struggling with themselves. Or are angry with themselves for all the "bad" days when they feel down, grumpy, or completely exhausted. It's high time to harness the power of your cycle instead of fighting it! How, you ask? By living according to your cycle.
In harmony with your body
Your body produces different hormones during each phase of your cycle. That's why you feel like a rock star one day and a washed-up duck the next. But it's not your fate, and you don't have to accept it. In fact, it's simply not part of being a woman.
Because if you understand your hormonal shifts and adapt your activities (as much as possible) to what's happening in your body, you can live harmoniously with your body. The result is a more relaxed life: from work to your social life and from your athletic performance to your libido! Whoop whoop!
Uwe: " In my case, it helps enormously to make the cycle—which is already a huge force—even stronger. I think that's the greatest gift you can give yourself as a woman. "
