Look no further! Dates stuffed with nut butter and chocolate are the perfect snack to satisfy your hunger and keep you energized all day long!
Ingredients for 4 people:
Preparation method:
- Cut open the dates and remove the pit.
- Heat the chocolate together with the coconut oil and cocoa powder in the microwave (600 W). Stir regularly until the chocolate is completely melted.
- Take a date and, using a teaspoon, add the nut butter of your choice. Fold it closed to prevent the nut butter from leaking out of the dates.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and, using a fork, coat the dates in the melted chocolate. Let the excess chocolate drip off and place the dates on the baking sheet. Finally, sprinkle with sea salt.
- Repeat until all dates are filled and covered with chocolate.
- Place them in the freezer for at least 1 hour. Then store them in a sealed container in the freezer.
Tip:
● You can finish the dates with extra seeds on top, such as roasted sesame seeds, finely ground pistachios, cacao nibs, coconut powder…
● You can also make these dates with different types of chocolate.
If you're using tahini paste, you'll find it's generally a bit thinner than other nut butters. Don't add too much and quickly fold the date closed. This prevents the paste from leaking out of the dates.
